From the Desk of Our Chairman
At Riverhead English Secondary Boarding School, we believe that education should prepare young people not only for examinations, but also for life. Our vision is to create a school environment where knowledge, character, confidence, discipline, creativity, and responsibility grow together.
“Our responsibility is to help every child discover their potential and give them the foundation to build a meaningful future.”
Mr. Hemendra Gharti Magar
Chairman, Riverhead English Secondary Boarding School
Dear Students, Parents, Teachers, and Well-Wishers,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Riverhead English Secondary Boarding School. Our school is founded on a simple but important belief: education should help young people become knowledgeable, confident, responsible, and compassionate human beings.
We live in a rapidly changing world. The knowledge and skills that students need today are broader than ever. Academic achievement remains important, but true education goes beyond textbooks and examinations. It develops the ability to think independently, communicate effectively, solve problems, work with others, make responsible decisions, and face challenges with confidence.
At Riverhead, we want every student to feel that they belong, that their ideas matter, and that their potential can be developed. Every child is different. Each student has individual strengths, interests, dreams, and areas where they need encouragement. Our responsibility as an educational institution is to provide the guidance, opportunities, and environment in which those differences can become strengths.
We also believe that character is an essential part of education. Respect, honesty, discipline, kindness, perseverance, responsibility, and concern for others are values that students carry far beyond their school years. Academic success is meaningful when it is accompanied by strong character and a sense of responsibility toward family, society, and the wider world.
Our teachers play a central role in this journey. A school becomes meaningful when teachers inspire students to ask questions, explore ideas, learn from mistakes, and continue trying when something is difficult. We are committed to supporting an educational culture where teachers and students learn together and where the classroom becomes a place of curiosity, encouragement, and growth.
We equally value the partnership between the school and parents. The development of a child is strongest when teachers and families work together with trust and a shared purpose. We encourage parents to remain actively involved in their children's education and to communicate openly with the school.
Looking ahead, our aspiration is to continue developing Riverhead as an institution that combines quality education with strong values. We want our students to leave school not simply with certificates, but with confidence in themselves, respect for others, a desire to learn, and the courage to contribute positively to society.
I warmly welcome every member of the Riverhead family to be part of this journey. Together, through commitment, cooperation, and a shared belief in the potential of our young people, we can create an educational environment where every student has the opportunity to grow and move toward a bright and meaningful future.
With warm regards,
Mr. Hemendra Gharti Magar
